SPAIN: 7 Days In Andalucia

March 12, 2016  •  2 Comments

"When we were in Spain, there were too many Spanish people there. The receptionist spoke Spanish, the food was Spanish. No one told us that there would be so many foreigners." - quoted from an article by Tropical Nomad

I came across this quote the day I came back from Spain... and it's just too good not to share. Of course they speak Spanish, and thank god the food is Spanish... or I wouldn't have got a chance to use my spotty Spanish and gain 5 pounds eating Spanish food.

Try as I might to get the hubs to tag along with me on this trip, he wouldn't budge - so, me and the middle child set off for a week exploring Southern Spain.

It all starts with flying into the Malaga airport, grabbing a car rental and driving the 15 minutes to our home base for the week - a rented apartment on the border of Torremolinos and Benalmadena. The child thought is was gonna be a relaxed vacation, and I burst her bubble quickly telling her we had to be up at 6 am every day to cover all the cities I wanted to see. Details on each city (as usual) will follow - just wanted to post a little teaser for y'all.

ANDALUCIA, SPAIN

Spain’s southernmost region, stretching from the Mediterranean to Portugal's border. If you’re looking for authentic Spain, you’ll find it here – Moorish castles, hilltop villages, sumptuous wines, mouthwatering dishes, flamenco shows and gorgeous beaches all vie for your attention. It's no wonder I couldn't sit still in one place all week!
