1 HOUR IN LAUSANNE, SWITZTERLAND

We probably didn't give Lausanne the time it deserved, but it really was just a pitstop on our way from Montreux to Geneva - you know, just to say we've been there. We did a quick stroll by the waterfront and took in the beautiful lake views, with the Alps as an amazing background.

OUCHY

Once a fishermen's village, Ouchy is now part of the City of Lausanne and serves now as a port on Lake Geneva. It's a pretty 1.5 km lakefront with gardens, cafés and promenades - the liveliest place in town, when the weather is good (kind of dreary when we were there). The Olympic Museum is not too far from here, and of course there's the Château d'Ouchy which is an incredibly beautiful building. But that's all I've got to say about our pitstop - it's a gorgeous area, with walking paths and café choices galore!
